I have been meaning to get a post update on here about how my training is going! With a new audience from my friends over at Gametiime posting on their blog about me I thought it would be a great way to introduce some new runners to my blog and a bit of a fresher update for you all to read!

First off I hope you all enjoy what you read over on their blog, and I hope that you enjoy what you read here. I’m just like you, struggling through my running day to day, if you have any questions always feel free to ask! I will always respond to questions! A little more about Gametiime:

So an update on my running!

I am finally back to feeling close to 100%! It has been quite some time since that was true, and I am so happy to be getting back to a place where I can start upping my mileage and time.

The last few weeks, have been tough. I am a marathoner. I love my long distance running. I love the trails here in Cheney. I miss them. I miss my long runs. I cannot wait to start at least upping the time on those.

My running has been minimal. It’s weird not closely following my mileage. I am very much OCD when it comes to mileage, and clocking it, and knowing how many miles are on my shoes, and switching shoes. It’s been hard to not log it, but it’s been the proper way to go about the training, not worrying about the pace, or the overall mileage. I have just been running.

It started slowly. I would run a day, and take a day off, running only three times per week, and not more than 15 minutes. I slowly inched that up, and added a fourth run last week, and ran all four runs between 12 and 17 minutes. This week under my coaches tutelage, I have increased my times to all close to and above 17 minutes (today’s run was 16:57. yesterdays was 18:44, and Monday I ran 19:55). I have one more run tomorrow for this week, and I will go right around 20 minutes.

Injury is nothing new to me. If you scroll back through my blog, you will find myself fighting ITBS back in Spring of 2011. I have also dealt with plantar fasciitis when I was in high school. That was a doozy of a time in my life! I wanted so badly to run!

I will be better about updating my blog, letting you know how i am doing! I hope that some of the new faces to my blogging enjoy, follow, and come back from time to time, and I hope that those that have visited before continue to support!

I cannot wait to hear from you, and continue to run myself.

Until then,

Nobaching Down

P.S. Thanks Gametiime!
